What can therapy help with? Therapy can help young people with anxiety, low mood, friendship difficulties, overwhelming thoughts, emotional distress, family pressure and many other challenges that affect their wellbeing.
How does therapy work? Therapy gives young people a safe space to talk, reflect and explore what’s going on. Sessions are shaped around the individual and include practical strategies as well as emotional support.
How quickly can therapy help? Some young people begin to feel a difference within a few sessions, while others need more time. It depends on what they’re dealing with and the kind of support they need.
Are parents involved? Parents and carers often play an important role. We balance that support with the young person’s need for privacy by keeping communication thoughtful and appropriate.
What should I do first? Start by getting in touch. We’ll listen to what’s going on, answer your questions, and explain what support might look like.
A space to be honest A private, confidential setting where young people can say what they might not feel able to say elsewhere.
At their pace Support that starts where the young person is, and never pushes them to open up before they’re ready.
Weekly sessions Regular sessions that give young people time to reflect, come back to things, and build trust over time.
