Anxiety
Anxiety

This is a very normal emotion to experience, however sometimes, and for some people it can go from being a manageable feeling to one that totally invades their lives, making normal life and interactions almost impossible. We at Teenage Mental Health have years of experience treating children and adolescents suffering anxiety issues, and aim to get children to a place where they are able to better manage their anxiety and start enjoying their lives again.

Self Harm
Self Harm

As a parent we would never allow anyone to harm our child either physically or emotionally. So perhaps this is one of the conditions that we struggle most with, our child is deliberately harming themselves. Watching your child maim themselves, and trying to stop them can be torturous for family members. We at Teenage Mental Health can help stop the cycle of self harm, and help your child engage better with the reasons they do these behaviours, helping them to find other ways of expressing their emotions.

Depression
Depression

Feeling low from time to time is normal but when these low feelings are persistent and unrelenting it can feel as if there is no longer any joy in life. Children like adults can suffer from depression at any time in their lives and we at Teenage Mental Health are here to help your child find a way out of this low period and move on to a bright and happy future.

Suicide

One of the most difficult things we can ever hear our child say is that they want to kill themselves, and sadly some children do successfully take their own lives. We have years of experience working with suicidal patients and can help your child work through these painful and difficult feelings, so that they are better able to process and cope with them to enable positive outcomes.
